About the teacher
Ustadh Ahmed Mehdy is a teacher of Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic studies with a strong foundation in the traditional Islamic sciences. He holds an ijāzah in the riwāyah of Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim through the ṭarīqah of ash-Shāṭibiyyah, authorizing him in this well-known recitation path of the Qur’an.
He studied various Islamic sciences at Al-Azher University in Egypt, including Arabic, Qur’an, Qur’anic recitations, fiqh (fiqh — Islamic jurisprudence), and aqeedah (ʿaqīdah — Islamic creed/belief). He has also received tazkiyah from Shaykh Mustafa Sameer. Through his teaching, Ustadh Ahmad is committed to helping students build confidence, improve their recitation, and develop a sound understanding of the deen with clarity and care.
